ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 38-55 WCF. S#. 1061025. Bbl. 20" round. Mfg. in 1928. Blue finish. Plain wood forearm & straight grip stock, with steel carbine buttplate. Pinned blade front sight w/ U notch carbine ladder rear sight. Left side of receiver is mounted w/ a saddle ring. CONDITION: metal components retain 85% original blue finish, showing some areas of wear, thinning, flaking, and surface oxidation overall. Bright bore, exhibiting what appears to be a layer of hardened grease, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered superficial marks. (25-1754/MLW). CURIO. $3,500-4,500.
